9pm Arrival (Open)

It was night, 9pm. A rumbling sound slowly got louder and louder. In the dark some lights in the distance flickered and slowly got brighter and closer along with the sound.

The city streets were mostly empty, as should be due to the curfew. A Staff Car, and 2 Trucks roll into the center of Dunkirk. They screech to a halt, as the brakes apply, an Officer, steps out and then opens the rear door. Emerging from the lead Staff car was the Major. He stood on the side rails and looked about as the troops unloaded from the trucks.

Sergeant Schultz, take zome men und head dat way. He pointed down a main street. He turned to a unit that just finished getting off the truck, You menz, wiz me. he stepped off the foot rail and headed down the other direction of the street. The soldiers were all heavily armed and they began marching down the street.

Madeira stood at the top of a building watching this scene unfold. She was only half obscured by shadows, not really trying to hide. She reached a hand that held her cowboy hat to her head, putting it on while the other held an unlit cigar in her other hand. She cocked her head to the side, her eyes going for the Major.

The wind caught her dark brown duster just enough to make it sweep about her animal skin clad legs. Her torso was hidden by the long leather coat. On the Navajo's face was a shit eating grin.

Curfew, curfew? What is this curfew of which you speak?

Oh yeah, it was for people who didn't have a pass given to them by a properly awed person of authority. Of course the SS Colonel's uniform also helped. A lot.

Sam strolled down the street and paused when he saw the inevitable arrival of the Gestapo. Took 'em long enough, he was starting to think they weren't going to show.

A couple soldiers notice the man down the street. They start to yell, "Halt! Halt!, Unterbinden oder auch wir wirst schießen." They start running towards him. Another soldier heads over to the Major and gets his attention and points out that someone is out after curfew.

The tall Brujah, who in fact did resemble an Ayran superman.... blond hair, bitter steel blue eyes, and standing a solid 6'6" stepped under a streetlamp, his SS uniform fully visible, as well as the Colonel's rank he wore.

The glare on his face at the approaching Germans was one of annoyance.

Madeira stepped one foot onto the edge of the roof and bent down slightly, watching as she put her cigar away in a pocket. The grin did not fade.

The soldiers whom had been running towards the lurking individual suddenly begin backpeddling as the SS Officer steps into the light to reveal his identity. One young skinny soldier, faster than the others almost runs into the Officer before pulling up short and falling backwards onto his hands. He scrambles up to his feet and stands at attention, too nervous to speak.

Major Schmidt walks over, seeing another Officer of the Reich, raises his arm stiffly Heil Hitler! and salutes him.

Sam grabs the clumsy solider by the collar, and with a leather glove clad hand lifts him off the ground until he was at eye level.

"You will learn better control of yourself, and respect for your betters." he said in an soft, calm and rather cultured German.

Tossing the soldier aside, Sam turned to the Gestapo Major and returned the salute "Heil Hitler"

Walking closer, he looked the man up and down. "You do not follow the Order Number 5 regarding presenting yourself?"

Alaric squinted his eyes for a moment as he looked at the Officer who out ranked him slightly. As he did, he took off his leather glove. With a sharp quick movement, he slaps the soldier next to him and addresses him without looking in a sharp angry command, Continue your dutiez.

He waited a moment for the soldier to leave and join the others, who then crossed the street, and continued there search. Az you can zee, he gestures back towards the trucks and the car with his left hand but still facing the man, I haz juzt arrived. Perhapz you canz tell me how you wouldz prezentz ein zelf after being ztopped only momentz of exziting car?

Sam smiled softly "Some might have stopped their car elsewhere first while sending their associates onward. Nonetheless that is not my place to say. I only speak for her in this matter."

Sam glanced up at the Navajo Malkavian on top of the building across the street. "This is her city, regardless of what flag flies over it. "

And still she merely watched with interest from her perch. Unmoving and statuesque.

"The first above all others. I do not think she will object if you are delayed some tonight, but you should present yourself before the night ends. Do you know where we gather?"

Madeira gave a nod to Sam and retreated to the shadows of the roof.

Sam smiled and gave him the address. "She says you can take a few hours if needful. Meet us when you are free. Forgive me. I am Sam Hensley, one of the rabble. " it was a name that had been known to mortals in the last war as a fearful one, and was now mocked in London kindred society for his low status

He nodded. Major Alaric Schmidt, Local Gestapo Leader. He saluted then offered his hand.

Sam shook his hand. "Have a pleasant night Major, and I'll make sure Madeira is ready for you. "

With a masquerade friendly salute, Sam walked back off into the night.
