Checking out the night life (st?, open)

In one swift action, Charlie cut the boy's throat, severing the main artery. The boy bled out within moments, smiling the whole time as he turned pale and the life slipped away.

At the same time, Charlie let another blade fly upward from his hand, striking the hawk in the neck, causing it to fall to the ground at Charlie's feet.

He quickly reached out to grab the bird, just in case the thing wasn't dead yet or worse, it was already dead and all he'd really done was down a Kindred who was about to strike back.
The Toledo blade still in his hand he quickly checked for a pulse, movement, anything.

Dead, diseased looking bird.

And the boy's jacket is smoking just slightly.

Dead, diseased looking, headless bird once Charlie had severed it. Because he rather be safe than sorry. Which also meant he picked up the throwing dirk he'd used as he caught sight of the slight smoke rising off the kid's jacket.
Ah well, the kid could burn for all he cared, if nothing else it would help cover up his tracks.

Charlie threw the bird away after having snatched one of its feathers and pocketed it, leaned down to clean his blade on the kid's jacket and then sheathed it.
It was time to get out of there.

Charlie successfully pockets a feather. As Charlie turned to leave, the cigarette the kid had lit, began burning a hole through his jacket.

He could still hear the stomping of boots on the ground nearby, but otherwise, the night was quiet.

He let the cigarette burn, turning his back on the kid and calmly, with a relaxed pace, moving out of the alley and down the street in the opposite direction of the sound of stomping boots.

Charlie remains unaccosted.

He would make sure to make a rather large detour on his way home, just in case anything decided to follow him, waiting for a convenient moment to wrap the shadows around himself and vanish completely from sight.

He needed to get back and have a talk with a few people...
